Ontario Soccer is excited to annouce new available course offerings of the Ontario Soccer Futsal Coach Certificate and the Goalplayer Coach Diploma! Check out the details for each below:
Futsal Coach Certificate
Overview: The Ontario Soccer Futsal Coach Certificate is focused on supporting coaches interested in learning about the game of futsal.
Course Duration: 9 hours
Course Fee: $325
Course Dates:
- Saturday, September 26, 2026 (Ottawa)
- Saturday, October 3, 2026 (Hamilton)
- Saturday, November 21, 2026 (Mississauga)
- Saturday, December 5, 2026 (Mississauga)
Learning Environment:
- Blended Delivery Model
- Virtual, asynchronous learning
- 1 day, in-person
- On-Court Session
Pre-requisite:
Licence Validity: Upon successful completion of the Ontario Soccer Futsal Coach Certificate (Practical) the coach will receive a coaching certificate valid for five (5) years. The certificate may be maintained by following the Ontario Soccer Maintenance and Renewal Process.
Please note: 100% attendance and engagement is required for the duration of the course.

Goalplayer Coach Diploma
Ontario Soccer is please to announce the registration for the Goalplayer Coach Diploma is now open.
Overview: The course combines theoretical and practical components of how to effectively coach “Goalplayers” in a team setting. Furthermore, it is a prerequisite for Canada Soccer’s Youth Goalkeeper License. Coaches intending to apply for next year’s course must be certified by the application cycle.
Course Duration: 45 hours
Course Fee: $800

Learning Environment:
o Asynchronous Independent Online Learning
o Synchronous Collaborative Online Learning
o 2- Day, In-Person (On-Field)
o Assessment of Competency
Licence Validity: Upon successful completion of the Ontario Soccer Goalplayer Coach Diploma the coach will receive a coaching certificate valid for five (5) years. The Diploma may be maintained by following the Ontario Soccer Maintenance and Renewal Process.
