EMSA APPROVED ROSTER PROCESS FOR LEAGUE PLAY
TEAMS MUST BE REGISTERED IN POWERUP A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE LEAGUE PLAY
Any Club registering players for League play or for Training purposes must complete the following:
- Register Players/Staff into PowerUp
- Comply with ROWAN'S LAW, required by Law - Gov of Ontario site
- Player Registration Waiver
PowerUp Process:
- Club uploads team (players & coaches)
- Submit team to District for approval
- Email admin@emsadistrict.com to alert EMSA that roster is ready for approval
- EMSA will approve players & coaches on team
- If any issues EMSA will:
- Add notes beside players & coaches
- Set roster to "Club Review" so notes are visible to club
- Club will make changes & resubmit
- Once approved, the digitally approved roster will be
available to download
- If changes are needed throughout the season, please email
admin to alert us
Setting up your team in PowerUp:
- Team Name – please follow this process:
- CLUB NAME, U#, Gender, League, Division, Team Identifier
- Ex. ABC Club, U14F, EMDSL, D1, Spirits
- Club

Helpful reminders:
- Team Name (CLUB NAME, U#, Gender, League, Division, Team Identifier)
- Grassroots Players (U4-U13) are to be on ONE POOL, not individual 'teams"
- Each Staff should be titled (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager, Assistant Manager).
- Submit in PowerUp for EMSA approval, once your team is complete (and a minimum of 2 weeks prior to League play), please email admin@emsadistrict.com that your roster is ready for an approved roster. EMSA will review and approved roster which should be available at all games, required for all leagues (Printed Copy). Each time a new player is added a new roster is required, please allow sufficient time for EMSA to approve.
- U14-18 Youth Competitive can register 20 players, only 18 can be on game sheet
- U8 - U13 Grassroots players in EMDSL required to have digital photos on rosters as per EMDSL's R&R
- Travel Insurance for travel outside Canada
- Fast Track forms must be signed by fully qualified TD or someone with a Canada Soccer Children's Diploma
- **New –In Senior divisions, teams may contain Players of any age over the age of 18. For players aged 16 or 17, the Club would require Special Dispensation. Full teams, or where the majority of a team is comprised of U17 and younger players is not permitted.

CLUBS to have teams registered into PowerUp no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the season.
Team Official
The Team Official Registration Form (see below) will be required to be completed for Grassroots (U4-U13) and Youth (U14-U18) as well as Senior Competitive teams for CLUBS PLAY INTO EMSA.
It is the club's responsibility to confirm that the team official's information is correct and has the necessary Certification for the team age/division that they are coaching. Club Executive should be confirming correct coaching qualifications by going to www.coach.ca, click public transcript, enter coaches NCCP # and last name for list of courses.
