Position Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President, or their designate, the primary responsibility of the Tech Staff Coordinator is to oversee and assist with the effective and safe delivery of Youth Recreational programs at any of the St. Thomas Soccer Club facilities. The Tech Staff Coordinator shall work in a cooperative and positive team effort with all other staff, customers, and stakeholders for the successful delivery of programs. The Tech Staff Coordinator shall act as the on-duty supervisor of all Tech Staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Tech Staff and any Participants
  • Assist with personnel functions like scheduling and training team members. Assist with staff meetings and training programs to ensure current policy, procedures, and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Assist with leading and planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
  • Answer staff and parent inquiries.
  • Prepare day-to-day materials and equipment needed for activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring and providing exceptional customer services in all duties and functions as well when dealing with participants, parents/guardians, service representatives, and agency contacts.
  • Assist in the completion and/or coordination of all programming documentation such as: accident/incident reports, behaviour reports, and compliant reports as may be required.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s licence
  • Valid First Aid and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum three (3) years working with children
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and judgement with handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Proficient with computers and current technology
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team oriented, friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude.
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to starting employment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Work Time Frame:
This position is approximately 13 weeks from May 19 – August 19, Monday through Thursday
from 5:30pm to 8:30pm with some opportunity for additional hours.

Compensation
$20 per hour, approximately 15 hours per week.
